Societal expectations are usually just a reflection of a strange protocol we're supposed to follow that adheres to the standards of someone else's inner moral code. Any step outside of their comfort zone comes along with the expectation that we should feel guilt or shame for not adhering to their personal programs which generally develop out of unhealthy programs that were passed down to them.

Stop making excuses. your mental health and social health depends on it. Don't let your polycule and your monogacule consume your life 24/7 - We know. It's easy to let happen ... We just realized how isolated these times had found all the members of our polycule ... So, start looking into doing the things again at the safety level your lifestyle and needs allow. If you start looking and find that what you once had is no longer there, create it. If you build it, they will come. Either way - try. Do the things. Pursue your interests. Your, and your polycule's wellbeing, depends on it.
